Position Summary The Senior Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing procurement operations across local and international supply sources, ensuring material availability, managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and mitigating supply chain risks. The role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing procurement, import purchasing processes, supplier development, and inventory-driven supply planning. The successful candidate will lead a small purchasing team and collaborate closely with Operations, Planning, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, and Finance functions. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise day-to-day purchasing activities for direct and indirect materials. Develop and execute sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of production materials. Daily communication in ENGLISH with peers, suppliers and other international stakeholders. Drive continuous purchasing cost improvements while maintaining required quality and service levels. Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks through dual sourcing, supplier development, inventory strategies, and contingency planning. Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary. Coordinate procurement activities related to international sourcing and importation. Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulations, and applicable customs and trade requirements. Collaborate with Planning and Manufacturing teams to ensure material availability aligns with production requirements. Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team to achieve departmental objectives.
