About the role Madalangu Bakehouse is seeking an experienced Head Kitchen (Baker) to lead our baking operations and culinary team. This is a full-time position based in Bandung, Jawa Barat, offering the opportunity to oversee all aspects of our bakery production, from recipe development to final product delivery. As Head Baker, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and food safety whilst managing kitchen staff and ensuring efficient daily operations. This role is pivotal to our success in the competitive hospitality and bakery industry, where excellence in craft and leadership directly impacts our reputation and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities Plan, prepare and execute all baking operations, including bread, pastries, cakes and speciality items according to established recipes and quality standards Oversee and manage the kitchen team, including scheduling, training, mentoring and performance management of baking and kitchen staff

Develop and innovate new baking recipes and products whilst maintaining consistency with Madalangu Bakehouse's signature offerings Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards in all kitchen operations Monitor inventory levels, manage food costs and order supplies to maintain operational efficiency and minimise waste

Maintain and troubleshoot baking equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity Collaborate with management on menu planning, seasonal offerings and customer feedback implementation Maintain accurate records of production, costs and kitchen performance metrics

Ensure compliance with all local health codes and food safety regulations What we're looking
