English Teacher

About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join Yayasan Pendidikan Avicenna Prestasi, a leading educational institution committed to academic excellence and student development. This is a full-time position based in Cinere, Depok , where you will play a vital role in shaping the English language skills and cultural awareness of secondary school students. As an English Teacher, you will be instrumental in fostering a love of the English language whilst helping students develop critical thinking, communication and literacy skills that will serve them throughout their academic and professional careers.

Key responsibilities Delivering engaging and well-structured English lessons to secondary school students, utilising a variety of teaching methodologies and resources Planning, preparing and creating high-quality lesson plans and educational materials that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles

Assessing student progress through regular testing, assignments and projects, whilst providing constructive feedback to support learning and development Teaching core English skills including reading, writing, listening and speaking, with emphasis on both language proficiency and comprehension Encouraging student participation, critical analysis and creative expression through classroom discussions, debates and collaborative activities

Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, grades and academic progress, and communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance Fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and academic achievement Collaborating with fellow educators to contribute to the overall development and improvement of the English department and school programmes

Supporting extracurricular activities such as English clubs, speech competitions or cultural events when required What we're looking
