The Engineering Specialist serves as a high-level technical expert responsible for resolving complex system, facility, or machinery failures that exceed the capabilities of standard maintenance teams. This role involves conducting deep-dive technical investigations and failure analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. Beyond troubleshooting, the specialist is tasked with designing new systems, components, or operational processes that align with industry standards. They work to optimize machine performance, production workflows, and infrastructure to increase efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. The role also requires ensuring compliance with global safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards, while developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for technical aspects of the company. Furthermore, the Engineering Specialist plays a key role in strategic planning, including budgeting, material specification, and defining project scopes. They collaborate with management, project managers, and vendors to ensure project delivery, act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for strategic decision-making, and provide mentorship and technical training to junior engineers and maintenance teams.
